Since the beginning of the war on 24 February, Russia has killed 184 Ukrainian athletes, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
"And now Mr. Bach is quoting Emmanuel Macron as allegedly saying “sports should not be politicized” and athletes from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus should be treated equally," Kuleba wrote.
"Using sports to whitewash war crimes is sickening," he added.
According to media reports, the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said that French President Emmanuel Macron insists on the participation of all countries, including Russia, in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

On 5 December, it became known that the President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov received an invitation to the Olympic Summit in Lausanne (Switzerland).
Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Vadym Hutzayt said that inviting representatives of the Russian Olympic Committee to the summit is unacceptable.
