Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar said that the situation on the frontline in the eastern directions remains complicated and dynamic.
"The enemy keeps trying to advance in the Kupiansk direction. They continue to carry out numerous attacks, trying to hit the infrastructure. The fighting continues. Our soldiers heroically stop the enemy and ruin all their plans," Malyar said via Telegram.
The situation in the Liman direction is no less difficult. According to the deputy minister, the Russians try to advance near Serebryanske forestry, Kreminna and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Region to displace Ukrainian troops. Now the Russians plan to regroup and replace troops in this area.
"Intense fighting is also ongoing in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is constantly attacking using armored vehicles and aircraft. Their goal is to stop our offensive at any cost," said Malyar.
She added that the Defence Forces advance even through desperate enemy resistance.
"The situation in all eastern directions is intense and very dynamic. Therefore, decisions in such a situation need to be made carefully, but at the same time quickly. Therefore, our commanders are working out every detail on the spot, calculating all possible scenarios and promptly planning further steps," summarised the Deputy Minister.
On 22 August Ukrainian soldiers of the 47th Brigade entered Robotyne, Zaporizhzhya Region, and organised the evacuation of civilians. The Russians continued to shell the village with artillery.
