Blast at OMON headquarters in Enerhodar

The operation was carried out by the local resistance movement with the coordination of Ukrainian intel.

On 28 August, an explosion occurred at the headquarters of the Russian special riot police OMON in occupied Enerhodar, reports Ukrainian Intel. 

The operation was carried out by the resistance movement with the support of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

"As a result of the local resistance movement operation coordinated by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, improvised barracks of the Russian Guard unit Akhmat-1 were damaged. After the occupation of the city, the Kadyrov’s people seized and rearranged a building at 46 Budivelnykiv Street, where was located a local branch of one of the Ukrainian banks," the intelligence said.

The explosion occurred at 9.50 am. As a result, Russian personnel was injured and cars parked in the yard were damaged. A fire broke out in the building. Firefighters and ambulances arrived at the site.

The Main Intelligence Directorate added that information on the number of killed and wounded Kadyrov’s people is currently being clarified. There were no casualties or injured among the civilian population.

Also, after a series of explosions, the occupiers immediately evacuated the local military-civilian administration. Currently, inspections are underway in Enerhodar and access to the Internet is limited.

Ukrainian intelligence recently reported an explosion at a meeting of the heads of the occupation police in Enerhodar. Last month, an explosion occurred in Melitopol near the occupiers' military base.
