One person was killed and two wounded after being hit by Russian explosive devices in Kharkiv Region, says Kharkiv regional police.

The incidents occurred on 7 September in Chuhuyiv and Izium districts.

At about 11:00 a.m., a truck exploded on a mine in a field near the village of Mospanove, Chuhuyiv district. The driver and a passenger were injured. The victims were taken to the district hospital. Later it became known that the man died and the woman was in serious condition.

At 11.30 a.m., near the village of Arkhangelivka in Barvinkivska community, a tractor hit an unexploded submunition from an MLRS cluster munition in a field. The wounded driver was taken to the hospital.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

A truck exploded on an enemy mine in Kharkiv region the day before. Two people are in hospital.

According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, 40% of the territory of Kharkiv Region is potentially dangerous. The State Emergency Service's pyrotechnics alone have defused more than 76,500 explosive devices.
