Soldiers of the Steel Frontier Brigade of the Assault Guard has reported capturing the commander of the Russian Black Mamba unit in the Lyman sector, the State Border Service of Ukraine reports.
"During assault operations deep into the enemy's defences in the Lyman direction, border guards captured a 38-year-old Russian serviceman. The occupier turned out to be a former prisoner who was now a squad commander and a member of the Black Mamba unit," it said.
It is noted that during the interrogation, the prisoner said that their unit had a low moral and psychological state, and that the motivation to fight on the territory of Ukraine was exclusively the money and the lifting of previous criminal records.
Earlier, the Russian prisoner said that he joined the army under a contract to pay off his debts. He was promised that he would "draw maps" at the headquarters. However, he ended up at the front.
