Over the past year, Russian troops have launched more than 300 cruise missiles of various types, almost 400 Shahed-type attack UAVs, and 14 ballistic missiles in the direction of Kyiv, according to the city military administration.
"In the last 12 months alone, the ruscists have launched more than 300 cruise missiles of various types; 14 ballistic missiles; almost 400 Shahed-type strike UAVs," said administration head Serhiy Popko.
The official emphasises that Ukrainian defenders need more air defence equipment, as Russia has enough weapons to attack Ukrainian cities en masse.
"We will not give up any weapons. Because Ukrainian air defence soldiers have long proved to the world that they are capable of creating the seemingly impossible - effective air defence systems that combine the latest and old models, Soviet and NATO types. Give us weapons, and we will find an effective use for them," Popko said. "Ukraine expects support from its allies and partners."
He stressed that every anti-aircraft missile system, every Gepard or every Piorun means lives saved and contributes Ukraine's victory.
