Defence Minister Rustem Umerov has instructed the Defence Ministry's Chief Inspectorate to conduct a full investigation into the Russian missile attack on the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.
The minister expressed his condolences to the families of the killed soldiers.
"All the circumstances of what happened will be checked. I instruct the Chief Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence to conduct a full investigation into this tragedy," he wrote on Facebook.
He added that every effort should be made to protect people and provide honest answers to the families and friends of the fallen soldiers.
The Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that on 3 November, Russians fired an Iskander-M missile at the personnel of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade in Zaporizhzhia, killing some soldiers.
