The Russian military shelled Kherson from the occupied left bank of the Dnipro river, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Roman Mrochko, has said on Telegram.
"Kherson is under enemy fire! Several strong explosions were heard in the central part of the city. The Russian army is attacking from the temporarily occupied left bank," the message reads.
At 17:43, the State Emergency Service said that the Russians had fired on residential buildings in one of the city's neighbourhoods. Four people who were injured received medical assistance.
Over the past day, Russians fired 100 times on Kherson Region. A total of 474 shells were fired from mortars, artillery, Grad systems, tanks, UAVs and aircraft. Twelve shells were fired on Kherson.
