US State Department spokesperson Vedan Patel said he was not aware of any talks with Ukraine about negotiations with Russia outside the structure of the Ukrainian peace formula.
At a briefing, Patel said that any negotiations are Ukraine's business. He stressed that he could not discuss anything about Ukraine without its participation.
"We are not aware of any talks with Ukraine about negotiations outside the structure of the peace formula, which, as you have seen, is where a number of engagements are taking place. But it's still incredibly clear, Alex, that the Kremlin is not interested in negotiating or ending this war, and we are committed to supporting our Ukrainian partners," he said.
