The military reported an increase in the number of Russian attacks on Avdiyivka, Kupyansk and the Donetsk sector, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a conference call.

He heard intelligence reports, schedules for the supply of ammunition, equipment and missiles, and reports from the front. Zelenskyy stressed that Russia continues to take revenge on free Kherson by shelling the city centre.

"By the decision of the last meeting, we significantly strengthened the local defence capabilities in intelligence, counter-battery, electronic warfare and air defence. We are monitoring its implementation," he said.

The Interior Ministry reported on the elimination of the consequences of night shelling. The military is constantly analysing changes in Russian tactics of using UAVs, and adjusting Ukraine's air defence accordingly.

Zelenskyy added that the grain corridor continues to work, and 4 million tonnes of cargo has already been transported through it.

As reported earlier, the Russians are continuing their attempts to completely surround Avdiyivka and are using aviation to do so. Over the past 24 hours, 80 combat engagements took place in all sectors.
