A new gas deposit has been discovered in the Carpathians, the press service of Naftogaz Group reports.
"During the additional exploration of one of the previously depleted fields in the Carpathians, a new gas deposit was found. A well at a depth of 1,600 m produced more than 200 tcm of gas per day and set a production record in the region over the past 20 years!" the statement said.
It is noted that this was the result of the coordinated work of professionals, the use of 3D seismic surveys and modern drilling technologies.
Naftogaz Group also reported that the well was also installed in record time.
