Due to the deteriorating weather in Ukraine, the Road Emergency Response Headquarters has started working around the clock, the State Agency for Infrastructure Recovery and Development has said.

To respond quickly to the situation and prevent problems on the roads, the HQ has started working around the clock.

Due to the active cyclone, severe weather conditions of the second (orange) hazard level are expected in Ukraine today and tomorrow, except for the western and eastern regions:

Heavy snowfall in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Odesa regions, heavy sleet and rain in Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv regions, ice in some places; snowfall of up to 20-30 cm, 40-50 cm in some places; blizzards, snow drifts, and ice cover on the roads are expected.

There will be heavy rains in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions and Crimea.

In the northern, central, southern regions and Crimea, winds will increase to 17-22 m/s, in some places up to 25 m/s, in Odesa and Mykolayiv regions to 25-30 m/s; and in the western and eastern regions wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected.

In Odesa Region, due to snow and ice, traffic for heavy vehicles has been temporarily blocked since 8:30 a.m. today on the public roads of national importance M-15 Odesa-Reni (to Bucharest) and M-28 Odesa-Yuzhne /M-14/ (bypassing Odesa).
