The road between Chełm and the border crossing with Ukraine in Dorohusk has been completely unblocked.
According to the Chełm police, the truck that broke down at the turnoff near the checkpoint on Monday and was obstructing traffic is no longer there. It has been removed from the road, so traffic in both directions is unhindered, RMF24 reports.
There is now a long queue of trucks entering Ukraine.
"The border crossing is fully staffed and it will take about 32 hours to unload the queue of about 700 trucks travelling from Poland to Ukraine through Dorohusk," said Michał Derus, a spokesman for the Chamber of Tax Administration in Lublin, the publication reported.
