Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhaylo Fedorov has said that Ukraine and Romania have signed an agreement on cooperation in 5G, restoring telecoms networks and increasing their resilience.

"We agreed on the first steps - increasing the resilience of Ukrainian Internet networks, the development of 5G corridors between the borders of Ukraine and Romania, and Ukraine's participation in EU financial support programmes," he said.

The minister also noted that Romania would help restore the digital infrastructure damaged by the war.

Fedorov thanked Romanian Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalisation Bogdan-Gruia Ivan for his cooperation. According to him, from now on, Ukraine and Romania will implement joint projects with the financial support of the EU.
