On the night of 17 January, Russia attacked Ukraine with 20 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk area and two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from Belgorod Region in the direction of Kharkiv. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defence of the Defence Forces, destroyed 19 Shaheds. Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the air attack," the statement said.
The air defence was operating within Zaporizhzhya, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kirovohrad and other regions.
