The fire at the oil depot in Klintsy, Bryansk Region of Russia, on 19 January is a consequence of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said this during a telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"We can joke that someone is smoking in the wrong places, but the truth is that these are the consequences of the Russian invasion, attack, and war against Ukraine. And it will continue," he said.
"A good rumble, a good hit. Such events regularly occur at the military facilities of the aggressor state. It is clear that when it comes to the oil depot, which is involved in supplying the occupation corps with fuels, it complicates the logistics of the occupiers, disrupts supply schedules and provides additional opportunities, increases the space for manoeuvre for our defenders," Yusov added.
The governor of Russia's Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, said that "an oil depot in Klintsy caught fire when the drone was shot down". The Russian Ministry of Defence said that the drone was destroyed at around 6:40 am. The ministry did not provide any other details.
