One person died as a result of the shelling of Avdiyivka, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, said.
At around 10 am, Russians hit Avdiyivka with artillery, hitting a cottage house. A 47-year-old woman was killed.
Several more cottage houses and a multi-storey building were damaged.
According to Filashkin, representatives of local authorities, police and rescuers are working at the scene.
On the night of 30 January, Russians hit a hotel annexe in Myrnohrad, Donetsk Region, with a missile, killing one person and injuring another. About 30 people were in the hotel at the time of the attack.
In total, over the past day, Russians fired 19 times at settlements in Donetsk Region.
