One person lost his life, and three others were injured in a munition detonation near Yevhenivka village in Mykolayiv Region, the State Emergency Service has said.
The incident, reported around 14:00, involved four individuals triggering an unknown munition in an open area.
Two injured individuals reached a medical facility independently, while another required ambulance transportation. SES bomb squad handled the deceased's body, and sappers are investigating the field, complicated by tall grass.
Authorities are probing the circumstances of the tragic event.
