Russians are preparing a massive resettlement to occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya Region by moving their residents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The codename for the operation is "Zaporizhzhya Virgin Land", the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, has said on the air of the news telethon.

"According to the ruscists' plan, the temporarily occupied territories [TOT] of Zaporizhzhya Region should become the second pilot project of Russia to change the ethnic composition of the population after the Far East. The occupiers are threatening Ukrainians who do not want to receive passports with deportation. Instead, they are already preparing applications to bring residents from Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan to the TOT," Fedorov said.

According to him, Russia seeks to achieve two goals at once, which it has not been able to do for almost two years of occupation, which to break down Ukrainian resistance by evicting the "undesirables" and making room for "their own"; and to cover personnel shortage by bringing in doctors, educators, engineers, security forces, etc. from the Russian hinterland and settling them in the seized housing.
