Ivan Fedorov appointed head of Zaporizhzhya regional administration

The relevant decree was published on the website of the president of Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree appointing Ivan Fedorov as the head of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration. Previously, Fedorov was the mayor of Melitopol, a city currently under Russian occupation.

The relevant decree, dated 2 February, was published on the website of the president of Ukraine.

On Telegam, Fedorov said that his goal as head of the administration is to unite efforts to bring Ukraine's victory closer.

"The tasks are clear:

to strengthen the defence capability of Zaporizhzhya Region and to provide full support for the military,

to provide comprehensive assistance to residents and IDPs in the government-controlled area and advocate for the rights of people who remain under occupation,

to prepare for the restoration of community life after de-occupation," he said.
