As part of his working visit to Dnipropetrovsk Region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Air Command East and presented state awards to pilots.
Zelenskyy heard a report from the Commander of the Air Command, Ivan Terebukha, on air cover for cities and communities, critical infrastructure and the front line.
The president was briefed on the details of a series of Russian drone attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Region and measures to increase the effectiveness of Ukrainian mobile fire groups and electronic warfare to repel drone strikes.
They also discussed the use of Western and hybrid air defence systems, as well as the prospects for strengthening the capabilities of the Air Command East, taking into account future arms supplies.
Zelenskyy also spoke to the military and awarded combat pilots with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyy, first and second class, and the Order of Courage, first class.
Earlier, Zelenskyy also visited Zaporizhzhya Region. The president held a meeting with the military command and heads of law enforcement agencies in the region to discuss the security situation in the region. Zelenskyy also visited the frontline and spoke to the military in Robotyne.
The president also introduced the newly appointed head of the Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, Ivan Fedorov.
