Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov has held the first working meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Col-Gen Oleksandr Syrskyy.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defence, Umerov and Syrskyy discussed the detailed action plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2024.
The minister highlighted the priorities of establishing a logistics system and meeting the military's needs in a timely manner. The focus is on an effective system of rotations and rest for units.
The meeting also focused on improving the quality of training, providing training centres, training new instructors, taking into account modern experience.
As for the new kind of Ukrainian Armed Forces - the Unmanned Systems Forces, Umerov said the ministry expects "new solutions, generalisation of experience. And most importantly, technical specifications for the development of new models. Those that will give us a strategic edge tomorrow."
