Carsten Breuer, Inspector-General of the Bundeswehr, has visited Kyiv.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov introduced the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy to Breuer.
During the meeting, Syrskyy briefed his German counterpart on the situation on the frontline and thanked him for Germany's contribution to strengthening the Ukrainian army.
The parties discussed the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in weapons, ammunition, and air defence systems.
Umerov said that "we are focused on fruitful cooperation, effective communication and real-time exchange of experience".
