The Russian large landing ship Caesar Kunikov was downed by Ukrainian MAGURA drones, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has reported.
DIU specialists conducted the operation jointly with all components of the Defence Forces. It was made possible with the support of the United24 platform.
"The enemy ship was attacked by Magura V5 maritime strike drones off the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea near the city of Alupka," the statement said.
The Russian ship received critical damage on the port side and began to sink.
"The large amphibious assault ship Caesar Kunikov of Project 775 is one of the newest Russian vessels. It could accommodate 87 crew members on board. It was used by the terrorist Moscow during the wars against Georgia, Syria and Ukraine," the DIU added.
The intelligence also published a video of the attack, according to which the operation was carried out by Group 13, which had previously successfully attacked Russian fleet.
