Tavriya sector faces largest number of Russian air, artillery strikes on 12 February

It was the heaviest bombardment since the beginning of the year.

Over the past 24 hours, Russians conducted the largest number of air and artillery strikes in the Tavriya sector since the beginning of the year. The intensity of the fighting is increasing, the commander of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of forces, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, has said on social media.

He added that casualties in the Tavriya sector reached 645 people. This is the highest figure since the beginning of the year.

"The number of artillery attacks carried out by the enemy in our operational area on 12 February is also the highest this year, 1,267. The same goes for air strikes, with 67 of them recorded," the commander said.

The defenders continue to destroy Russian equipment and captured 10 more servicemen. They destroyed and damaged 41 units of Russian military equipment, not including UAVs. This includes five tanks, 17 armoured combat vehicles, eight artillery systems, 10 vehicles and one unit of special equipment. Ukrainian forces also destroyed an ammunition depot and another important facility.

Ukraine neutralised or destroyed 280 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types. Lancet and ZALA attack drones (one each) were destroyed by small arms in Donetsk Region.
