Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyy and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov visited military units holding defence in the Avdiyivka and Kupiansk sectors.
Syrskyy noted the extremely difficult and tense operational situation. The occupiers continue to increase their efforts and have a numerical advantage in personnel.
He added that together with Umerov, he had listened to the commanders of brigades, tactical groups and groups that are conducting defensive operations in extremely difficult conditions.
"As a result of the work, we made a number of important decisions aimed at strengthening the combat capabilities of our military units and preventing Russian actions," he added.
The Avdiyivka and Kupyansk sectors have been among the most tense for many months. Russians are trying to recapture the logistically important Kupyansk.
