Over the past day, the Russian forces carried out 73 air strikes in the Tavriya sector, the highest number since the beginning of 2024, the commander of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of forces, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, said.
"In total, the enemy carried out 73 air strikes in the operational area of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of forces (the most since the beginning of the year), carried out 54 assault actions and 1051 artillery attacks," Tarnavskyy said.
Despite the massive shelling, the situation remains under control, the commander said. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct defensive operations, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
According to him, the total losses of the Russians over the past day amounted to 610 troops, 50 items of weapons and military equipment, not including UAVs. In particular, these include five tanks, 19 armoured combat vehicles, 10 artillery systems, one MLRS, one air defence system, and 14 vehicles.
A total of 263 UAVs of various types were neutralised. In particular, 16 drones were shot down with small arms.
