On the night of 15 February, Ukrainian air defence shot down 13 out of 26 missiles fired by the Russians. The invaders attacked Ukraine with X-101/X-555/X-55 air-launched cruise missiles, Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles, Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and X-59 guided missiles.
The launches were carried out from different Regions of Russia and the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya Region, the Air Force reports.
The launches of 26 missiles of various types were recorded:
- 12 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from T-95ms (Engels) strategic aircraft
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (Voronezh)
- two Kalibr cruise missiles (Novorossiysk)
- four X-59 guided missiles (occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Region, Kursk Region)
- two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (Belgorod Region).
The Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces destroyed 13 missiles of various types:
- 8 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles;
- one Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile;
- two Kalibr cruise missiles;
- two X-59 guided missiles.
Russia's strike on 15 February:
- In Kyiv Region, all missiles are downed by air defence. At least seven houses are damaged by falling debris. There were no casualties.
- Air defence were also operating in Kyiv, with no hits or damage reported.
- A woman was killed in Chuhuyiv as a result of a missile attack.
- In Zaporizhzhya, an infrastructure facility was damaged and a person was injured.
- In Lviv, the Russians also hit an infrastructure facility, injuring two people.
- There is damage due to falling debris in Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
- In Poltava, a warehouse in the Myrhorod district was hit. This caused a fire on an area of 100 m². Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
- At least two people were injured in Khmelnytskyy.
- Explosions were also reported in the Dnipropetrovsk Region. There was a hit.
