During his visit to Kyiv, Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer promised Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyy short-term support worth more than €100 million and military assistance. It is known that the commanders met in Ukraine last week.
German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius made this statement in a report after the Ramstein-19 meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.
According to Pistorius, Breuer visited Ukraine last week and had a meeting the new chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy, where he promised his Ukrainian counterpart short-term support in the amount of more than €100 million.
The defence minister noted that Germany is well aware of Ukraine's needs.
In particular, the support will include: mine-resistant vehicles with ambush protection (MRV), bombs for arming small drones, 77 MULTI 1A1 trucks, medical supplies and spare parts for various weapon systems.
