Whereas at the previous meetings of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, the Ukrainian side had stated the need for long-range weapons, during the last meeting the partners themselves spoke about this, the head of the Defence Ministry's Press and Information Department, Lieutenant Illarion Pavlyuk, said, as quoted by ArmyInform.
"At this Ramstein, the partners themselves spoke about the need to provide Ukraine with weapons of deep destruction... We have a full understanding that this is an extremely important part of the fight and bleeding of our enemy," said Pavlyuk.
In his opinion, such weapons will allow Ukraine to strike at the enemy's logistics routes, warehouses and command posts in occupied territories.
"Our partners are well aware that this is essential and what kind of weapons is needed," said Pavlyuk.
