On the night of 18 February, Russia attacked Ukraine using six S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (from occupied areas in Donetsk Region), three Kh-22 cruise missiles (from Russia's Voronezh Region), a Kh-59 guided missile (from occupied areas in Zaporizhzhya Region), and 14 Shahed attack drones (from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk regions), the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said.

Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile firing groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine, as well as electronic warfare equipment, were involved in repelling the air attack.

As a result of combat operations, 12 Shahed drones and one Kh-59 guided missile were destroyed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Dnipro regions.

  • Yesterday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit three Russian aircraft at once in the eastern sector - two Su-34 and one Su-35S.
