President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and a representative of the European Commission to come to the border where the blockade of Ukrainian agricultural products is taking place.

In a video address on 21 February, Zelenskyy said: "I have instructed our government to be at the border between our countries in the near future, by 24 February. The prime minister of Ukraine, our entire government, from logistics to the agricultural sector, and, of course, the minister of defence of Ukraine, because this blockade on the border, unfortunately, adds to the threats to the supply of weapons to our guys at the front. And I ask you, Donald, Mr Prime Minister, to come to the border as well. Andrzej, Mr President, I ask you to support this dialogue. This is national security. We must not delay it. The coming days give us a chance to do this," the president said.

He noted that he was also ready to be at the border with the Ukrainian government.

Zelenskyy also called on the European Commission to preserve unity in Europe. "This is a fundamental interest of the European Union. Therefore, Ukraine is appealing to the European Commission to have a representative of the European Commission take part in this meeting - also for the sake of common interests and to stop political manipulation," Zelenskyy said.

The president recalled recent incidents on the Polish-Ukrainian border, such as grain being dumped out of a railway carriage and a poster calling on Putin to "restore order".

"In yesterday's case with our grain being thrown out of the wagon, it was also simply untrue. Because not a single gram of that grain was taken to Poland for sale, not to the Polish market. Now there is not a single approval for the export of grain from Ukraine to Poland," Zelenskyy explained.

He noted that "only Moscow is rejoicing now" and stressed that "Ukraine values relations with Poland - all aspects of our relations".

"Enough with Moscow on our lands. Enough with misunderstandings. We cannot humiliate each other, we cannot humiliate either Ukrainian or Polish farmers. We need unity. We need solutions - between us, Ukraine and Poland, and at the level of the whole of Europe," Zelenskyy said.
