On the night of 10 March, Russia targeted southern Ukraine with attack drones, sending them through residential areas and industrial districts, which complicated the work of air defence forces, the Defence Forces South have said.
In the operational zone of the Defence Forces South, air defence units repelled a massive attack by drones that came from both the sea and the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Region for more than 4.5 hours.
Twenty UAVs were destroyed, including 11 in Odesa Region, six in Mykolayiv Region, two in Kherson Region and one in Dnipro Region.
One of the drones hit a building at an industrial facility in Odesa District and damaged it. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. No people were injured.
A kamikaze drone damaged a power line in the open area of Mykolayiv Region. Restoration work is underway.
On the night of 10 March, 35 of the 39 attack drones launched by Russia were destroyed in the skies over Ukraine.
