On 11 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-Chief's Staff to discuss the production of shells, the construction of fortifications, and the situation at the front.
In his account of the meeting on Telegram, he said that he heard reports from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Barhylevych, and local commanders of the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Southern directions and marine operations.
In addition, Defence Minister Rustem Umerov and Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin reported on the provision of everything necessary for the frontline.
"Fortifications are an important topic. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's report on the pace of construction of new defence lines. Defence in three bands of 2,000 kilometres is a large-scale task, but the pace is good now. I look forward to its timely completion," the president said.
