Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the Tavriya Task Force, said on the air of the news telethon that Russians had used new aircraft bombs during the attack on the city of Myrnohrad in Donetsk Region.
"Initially, it was reported that the enemy used S-300s, but according to the updated information received from the National Police, the Russians used three units of the UMPB D-30SN free-fall bomb," the spokesman said.
The use of such bombs indicates a new stage in the development of aerial bombs in Russia.
"This bomb is replacing the classic FABs converted into KABs. And they have additional power units. Therefore, unfortunately, we need to prepare for new challenges and new air defence tasks in the fight against these improved bombs," added Lykhoviy.
