The Russian missile attack on Odesa killed 16, including a doctor and a rescuer who were responding to victims of the first blast at the site. As of 5.05 p.m., 73 people were reported wounded, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper, the Prosecutor-General's Office and the interior minister.

The interior minister noted there were victims among the police but did not disclose the number.

According to an earlier update, a Russian missile attack in Odesa killed 14 people, including a paramedic and a rescue worker who had arrived at the site after the first explosion. More than 40 other people were injured.

The data on the dead and wounded was reported by the head of the regional state administration, Oleh Kiper, and the Prosecutor General’s office. As of 14:04, there were 14 dead and 46 injured.

"The Russian missile attack killed 14 people, including local residents, a medic and a rescuer. Another 46 people, including seven employees of the State Emergency Service, were injured. The injured are being provided with all necessary assistance. All relevant services are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack. Law enforcers are recording another Russian crime. Tomorrow, mourning will be declared in Odesa and the Region," said the head of the military administration.

There are also seriously wounded among the doctors and rescuers. All of them are being provided with the necessary medical care.

The State Emergency Service reported that the missile strike damaged civilian infrastructure. A fire broke out at the site of the hit.

Rescuers immediately arrived at the site of the strike and began extinguishing the fire, clearing the rubble and searching for victims. During the work, the enemy launched another missile attack, killing a rescuer.

According to preliminary information, 20 people were injured, including five employees of the State Emergency Service. All victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.

The strike also damaged 10 private houses, a service station, a low-pressure gas pipeline and two fire trucks. Work is currently underway to extinguish the fire in the gas pipeline and a private house on a total area of about 120 sq.m.

A total of 50 rescuers and 8 units of SES equipment are working at the site.
