German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has announced a new package of ammunition assistance to Ukraine. He said this before a meeting in the Ramstein format to Radio Liberty journalists.
The Minister noted that there is progress in the area of ammunition. In particular, thanks to the initiative of the Czech Republic.
"But we will also be able to announce another package here today," Pistorius said.
Regarding the long-range Taurus missiles, which Germany refuses to provide to Ukraine, "there is no news".
"Achieving sustainable support for Ukraine in the long term is our daily task. We want to expand cooperation with Poland, in particular in the production of ammunition," Pistorius said.
Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur added that his country has various options for sending ammunition to Ukraine.
"Maybe we can find some more money to buy them outside Europe - I mean, artillery shells. And tomorrow I will be in Kyiv," he said.
