Ukraine's defence strategy and its development should be fundamentally based on the philosophy that "America does not exist", meaning that we need to develop production for ourselves, not rely on our allies. This view was expressed by Serhiy Prytula, founder of the charitable foundation, during the discussion "How to win the war: prospects for Ukrainian industry" organised by LB.ua and EFI Group.

He explained that Ukraine needs to look for both new markets and new partnerships. In particular, investing in arms production in other countries.

"We are constantly waiting for what the Americans will give us. I respect all the efforts of the state to develop the miltech industry, the defence industry is developing and so on," he said.

Prytula added that in Bulgaria, all 152mm shell production plants work for Ukraine, but this is obviously not enough. It is necessary to use Ukrainian funds and the production of other countries.

He also believes that the government needs to stop engaging in a philosophy of high expectations. This strategy backfired last year, when Ukrainians were being prepared for a successful offensive by the defenders.

In January 2023, Serhiy Prytula's fund raised 220 million, and in February-March-April, donations decreased amid stories of how many allies had provided support. At the same time, the brigades involved in the offensive asked for help from large funds.
