Ukraine's defenders today destroyed 31 missiles - all of them launched by the Russian army. In particular, two ballistic missiles were shot down.
On the night of 21 March, Russians attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M (KN-23)/Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic/aeroballistic missiles and 29 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers (launch areas - Volgodonsk, Engels - Russia). This was reported by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
"The missiles came from the north, the main direction of attack was Kyiv! Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the air attack. As a result of successful combat work, all enemy missiles were shot down within the Kyiv Region!" he said.
