Polish protesters block bus traffic at Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint

Today, at around 11:10 a.m., Polish protesters began blocking bus traffic at the entrance to the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.

"Bus traffic has been blocked at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. According to information from our Polish colleagues, the bus traffic restriction began today at around 11:10 am. Its organisers are blocking traffic on the road in front of the Medyka checkpoint, which is adjacent to the Ukrainian Shehyni checkpoint," the statement said.

The organisers plan to allow one bus per two hours to enter and leave Ukraine. The duration of the blocking of this category of transport is currently unknown.

"We ask carriers and citizens to take this information into account when planning their trips," the State Border Guard Service said.

The day before, farmers in Poland announced large-scale actions across the country on 20 March. It was noted that demonstrations with agricultural machinery and blockades are planned in about 400 places. A dozen important roads on the approach to Warsaw will also be affected.
