In an interview with Le Figaro, Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said that Ukraine would finish the heating season ahead of schedule this year.
"Usually, the heating season ends on 15 April, but this year, given the above-zero temperatures, it will be at the end of March. Ukraine has weathered the winter well. We have learnt the lessons of 2022, when we suffered massive attacks from Russia in the autumn, and prepared accordingly," Chernyshov said.
He noted that the Ukrainian power system was very reliable. But this does not mean that the Russians did not try to attack it every day.
In early March, Chernyshov said that Ukraine had passed the winter using domestically produced gas. The Naftogaz CEO called it a historic event.
