On 28 March, an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the ambassadorial level was held at NATO Headquarters.
According to the Facebook page of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, the meeting was called by Kyiv because of Russia's missile attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure.
Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov informed the allies about the consequences of Russia's attacks and the response taken. Umerov also called on NATO member states to provide additional air and missile defence systems, as well as missiles, to protect Ukrainian cities and citizens.
