Ukraine is interested in building three new power transmission lines to Poland, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a briefing in Warsaw, LIGA.net reports.

"We have an exemplary case of the construction of a power transmission line from the Khmelnytskyy NPP to Rzeszow. This deepens the integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the European one. We are interested in the construction of new cross-border lines, in particular Novovolynsk - Chelm, Lviv - Krosno, Drohobych - Krosno," Shmyhal said.

He noted that together with the construction of interconnectors, this will strengthen the energy independence of both countries.

"Russia will never again dictate its terms in the energy sector on this continent," Shmyhal said.
