Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has instructed the relevant ministries to introduce an updated, fairer regulation on bookings. He said this following a government meeting on 9 April.
Shmyhal believes that "clear and understandable criteria are needed so that neither the military nor the public have any questions about why certain people are booked in our country". The statement was made amid discussions about the feasibility of booking telethon media and circus workers.
"Effective defence is a synergy of front and rear efforts. Our military defend Ukraine on the frontline, but they need a working economy and infrastructure to support them. One of the key issues in this regard is fair and rational reservation of persons liable for military service. Employees of enterprises that are really critical. There should be no speculation or manipulation here. That is why I have instructed the relevant ministries to introduce an updated, fairer regulation on reservations in the near future and to determine an exhaustive list of critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises," he said.
