Today, on 16 April, at around 11.30 a.m., the Russian army conducted an air strike on Beryslav, Kherson Region. The occupiers dropped a guided aerial bomb (KAB) on the city. As a result, 15 people were injured.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office and the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
As a result of the explosion of the KAB, 15 civilians sustained acute injuries. Medics treated the victims on the spot. Prokudin added that the injuries were minor, the victims received medical care and refused to be hospitalised.
In addition, residential buildings, shops, a pharmacy, etc. were damaged.
"Under the procedural supervision of the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office added.
This is not the first attack on the region today. In the morning, the Russian army attacked the village of Zolota Balka. A 56-year-old local resident was wounded.
