Due to the cold snap and cloudy weather, consumption is growing rapidly, Ukrenergo reports.
This morning, the consumption level is 6.5% higher than yesterday. To cover this growth, 3-4 additional units at thermal power plants need to be switched on. But this is not possible now, as thermal power plants are one of the main targets of Russian missile strikes.
Yesterday, the daily maximum consumption was around 21:00. It is almost 2% higher than the maximum consumption on Monday 15 April.
From 19:00 to 22:00, the Ukrenergo Control Centre calls for limiting the use of powerful energy-intensive appliances.
In the morning, the blackout schedules in the Kharkiv Region were extended. The reason is the increase in consumption due to the cold snap. About 251,000 consumers were cut off at the same time.
In Kryvyy Rih area, consumption limits for industrial consumers remain in effect.
In other Regions, consumption restrictions for household consumers were not applied.
