NATO members have enough air defence systems to meet Ukraine's request.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference after a meeting with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Denmark and the Czech Republic, reports Yevropeyska Pravda.
According to the NATO Secretary General, there are less than a hundred air defence systems in Europe, as some European officials have previously said. Despite this, the Alliance has a significant number of Patriot batteries.
"It also reflects the fact that the United States - which is the ally with the largest number of Patriot batteries - has a global commitment. But the reality is that we certainly have systems available, and there are enough systems available to allow us to supply significantly more to Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.
He also said that the allies are working to increase the supply of air defence systems in general and Patriot batteries in particular to Ukraine.
