In 2024, Ukraine needs at least $42 billion for budget support in the face of war.
This was announced by the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, Ukrinform reports.
"As of now, we estimate the needs at $42 billion for this year," Georgieva said.
According to her, this will be possible because international support for Kyiv remains firm.
"I was very pleased to hear yesterday's statements during the roundtable on Ukraine that support for Ukraine remains stable, it is firm," the IMF chief stressed and noted the efforts of the Ukrainian authorities to stabilise the economy.
To solve the economic problems that plague Ukraine and the region, it is necessary to end the war, Georgieva said.
