Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy was presented with the latest models of Ukrainian military equipment: a modernised infantry fighting vehicle BMP-1TS with the Ukrainian module Spys-Synthesis, an armoured vehicle Oncilla and other equipment, Militarnyi reports.
"We had the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, to get acquainted and evaluate new models of weapons and equipment and the possibilities of their prospective use on the battlefield," the General Staff quoted Oleksandr Syrsky as saying.
The Militarnyi media outlet reported that the most interesting piece of equipment on display was a previously unseen six-wheeled armoured vehicle, the name of which has not yet been disclosed. Militarnyi has learned from its own sources that a Ukrainian company has also started licensed production of these vehicles.
Visually, the vehicle almost completely repeats the contours of the well-known Mbombe 6×6 vehicle developed by the South African company Paramount Group.
