During Question Time in parliament, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko stated that Russia resumed large-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure last week, according to RBC-Ukraine.

Halushchenko noted that the energy system is currently operating in a stable mode, which consumers are experiencing.

"But, of course, the situation is complicated. First of all, this is a consequence of unprecedented attacks on the energy system that took place last year and this year. Unfortunately, the attacks have resumed, with large-scale attacks last week and daily attacks on relevant equipment in the frontline regions," he said.

It should be noted that the Minister of Energy also stated that Ukraine will be fully supplied with gas during the heating season. Halushchenko says that a media campaign has now begun claiming that ‘Ukrainians will freeze during the winter, there will be no gas.’ He called this untrue.

Halushchenko also said that the project to purchase units for the Khmelnytskyy Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria has not been cancelled. Moreover, according to Halushchenko, the process has intensified.
